Nearsightedness happens when the eye cannot focus clearly, making faraway objects look blurred.
Farsightedness happens when the eye cannot focus clearly, making close-up objects look blurred.
Astigmatism occurs when the cornea or the natural lens inside the eye has an irregular shape, which can cause blurred or distorted vision. Astigmatism can be corrected with contact lenses or glasses.
Around age 40, up-close objects like books, menus, and texts on your phone may start to look blurry. It’s caused by something called presbyopia. Don't worry, presbyopia happens to everyone eventually and can be corrected with contact lenses or glasses.
Yes. Multifocal lenses work at all distances, including near vision for reading and texting.
The main difference between daily contacts and monthly contacts is how often you replace them. With daily contacts, you wear a fresh pair each day, so there’s no need for lens solution or daily cleaning. Monthly contacts are worn for a month and removed each night before bed for cleaning and disinfecting with a lens solution. They need a lens case for storage.
Discuss your contact lens needs with your eye doctor so they can determine if daily contacts or monthly contacts are right for you. Search for an eye doctor near you.
Yes. In the United States, you must have a valid prescription from a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist in order to be able to purchase contact lenses. Search for an eye doctor near you.
This number indicates the strength of correction needed for that particular eye. A plus sign (+) before the number indicates farsightedness and a minus sign (-) indicates nearsightedness.
Do not take a nap in your contacts. This increases the risk of serious adverse reactions.
Do not reuse or rewear. They are prescribed for single-use wear and should be removed each day.
Your eye doctor will recommend a specific wearing period, or number of days, up to one month before you dispose of or recycle your lenses.
Monthly contacts need a lens solution for cleaning and disinfecting, and a lens case for storage. Find tips on caring for monthly contacts.

INFUSE® ONE-DAY
INFUSE® One-Day contacts are daily disposable lenses designed to help minimize lens dryness with a unique combination of next-generation material and ProBalance Technology®.
Next-generation material is an advanced silicone hydrogel material that balances lens moisture, flexibility, and breathability. This combination helps minimize stress on the eye’s surface, supporting lasting comfort and a healthy lens-wearing experience throughout the day.
ProBalance Technology® is a unique, proprietary blend of ingredients infused into the lens and released throughout the day:
- Moisturizers to lock in hydration
- Electrolytes to maintain your eye’s natural salt balance
- Potassium helps the lens environment mimic the eye’s natural tear chemistry
INFUSE® One-Day maintains 96% of its moisture for up to 16 hours. It contains the leading combination of overall moisture and breathability with its next-generation material infused with ProBalance Technology® that minimizes dryness.
INFUSE® One-Day is exceptionally moist, flexible, and breathable for all-day comfort. In a survey of 777 INFUSE® One-Day wearers, 94% agreed they could comfortably wear the lenses all day.†
†Results of an online survey with patients who completed an evaluation program for Bausch + Lomb INFUSE® contact lenses and wore their trial lenses for ≥7 days (n=777). Survey results include patients who strongly agreed, agreed, or slightly agreed (on a 6-point agreement scale) with the surveyed statement, with a margin of error ±1 .7%.
Daily disposables offer three key advantages: hygiene (fresh lens every day), convenience (no cleaning or storage), and simplicity (no solutions or cases). INFUSE® One-Day adds a fourth benefit—ProBalance Technology®—which monthly lenses don't offer. If comfort and hassle-free wear matter to you, daily disposables like INFUSE® One-Day are worth considering.
INFUSE® One-Day offers the leading combination of overall moisture and breathability when compared to other leading silicone hydrogel daily disposables.‡§ Its next-generation material infused with ProBalance Technology® is proven to help minimize contact lens dryness.
‡Versus leading silicone hydrogel daily disposables, DAILIES TOTAL1 and ACUVUE OASYS 1-DAY, based on dollar share of segment.
§Unlike INFUSE, which is a non-surface-treated silicone hydrogel daily disposable, Dailies Total1 and Precision1 are silicone hydrogel daily disposables with an integrated surface coating.
Both are daily disposable contact lenses from Bausch + Lomb but are designed for slightly different needs:
- Biotrue® ONEday is a high-moisture hydrogel lens (78% water) that helps keep eyes hydrated and comfortable throughout the day
- INFUSE® One-Day is an advanced, silicone hydrogel lens designed to help with contact lens dryness. It combines breathable material with comfort technologies to help minimize stress on the eye’s surface and keep lenses feeling comfortable until the end of the day
Your eye doctor can help you decide which option is the best fit based on your eyes.
Yes. INFUSE® One-Day comes in three lens types: spherical for nearsightedness or farsightedness, toric for astigmatism, and multifocal for presbyopia. Your eye doctor will prescribe the right option for your vision correction needs.
All three use the same next-generation silicone hydrogel material with ProBalance Technology®. The difference is in the lens designs: INFUSE® One-Day corrects standard nearsightedness or farsightedness; INFUSE® One-Day for Astigmatism stabilizes with the eye's natural blink and helps minimize halos and glare; and INFUSE® One-Day Multifocal uses 3-Zone Progressive™ Design to help you see clearly at all distances. Your eye doctor will prescribe one of these lenses based on your vision needs.
Yes. INFUSE® One-Day for Astigmatism has been available since June 2024. It is a daily disposable toric lens that combines the INFUSE® One-Day lens design with OpticAlign® Design for an excellent fit, and high-definition optics to reduce halos and glare.
INFUSE® One-Day for Astigmatism works through two integrated systems: (1) High-definition optics that help minimize halos and glare, even in low-light conditions; and (2) OpticAlign® Design that works with the eye's natural blink to keep the lens in the right position.
High-definition optics is a lens technology that brings all light rays from the center and edges of your vision to a single sharp focus on the retina. This prevents the blurring and glare-inducing distortion (called spherical aberration) that some toric lenses can cause. This helps reduce halos and glare, even in low light conditions.
Yes. INFUSE® One-Day for Astigmatism uses high-definition optics that help minimize halos and glare, especially in low-light. Combined with OpticAlign® Design which works with the eye's natural blink for stability, these lenses help deliver clear, sharp vision.
INFUSE® One-Day for Astigmatism has been available since June 2024, extending the benefits of ProBalance Technology® with next-generation material to people with astigmatism.
Yes. INFUSE® One-Day Multifocal has been available since June 2023. It is a daily disposable multifocal lens designed for presbyopia. Its 3-Zone Progressive™ Design is optimized to deliver clear vision at all distances—including near, intermediate, and far. This lens also uses ProBalance Technology® and next-generation material to help minimize lens dryness.
INFUSE® One-Day Multifocal is a daily disposable lens that combines ProBalance Technology® and next-generation material with 3-Zone Progressive™ Design to deliver clear near, intermediate, and distance vision while minimizing dryness.
INFUSE® One-Day Multifocal is unique because it combines two innovations: (1) 3-Zone Progressive™ Design optimized for seven biometrics—pupil size, lens size, eye shape, and others—to deliver clear vision at all distances; and (2) ProBalance Technology® moisture to keep your eyes comfortable all day.

Wear them in safe, familiar situations first—reading, light indoor tasks—to let your eyes adjust. Once you're comfortable, you can return to driving while wearing your contacts.
INFUSE® One-Day Multifocal has been available since June 2023—an established option in the INFUSE® One-Day family for presbyopic wearers seeking comfortable, daily disposable multifocal vision.
INFUSE® One-Day offers a unique combination of next-generation silicone hydrogel material with ProBalance Technology®, featuring osmoprotectants, electrolytes, and moisturizers to help minimize lens dryness for all-day comfort. Yes. INFUSE® One-Day is designed to help minimize lens dryness using next-generation silicone hydrogel material and probalance technology, a proprietary blend of moisturizers, electrolytes, and osmoprotectants. It maintains 96% of its moisture for up to 16 hours to support all-day comfort. If you have severe dry eye or very sensitive eyes, consult your eye doctor to determine the best lens option for your needs.
INFUSE® One-Day contacts are prescribed for single-use daily wear. Do not wear them overnight or for multiple days. Follow your eye doctor's wear schedule exactly.
No. Never wear INFUSE® One-Day contacts while sleeping. These lenses are prescribed for daily wear only. Wearing daily lenses overnight significantly increases the risk of serious eye problems, including infections and corneal complications. Always remove your lenses before bed.
INFUSE® One-Day contacts provide UVA and UVB protection but are not a replacement for sunglasses or sun protection. The UV protection in INFUSE® One-Day helps filter harmful UV rays but does not cover the entire eye surface, like eyelids and the area around your eye). Always wear UV-blocking sunglasses when in the sun.‡
‡WARNING: UV-absorbing contact lenses are NOT substitutes for protective UV-absorbing eyewear, such as UV-absorbing goggles or sunglasses, because they do not completely cover the eye and surrounding area. The effectiveness of wearing UV-absorbing contact lenses in preventing or reducing the incidence of ocular disorders associated with exposure to UV light has not been established at this time. You should continue to use UV-absorbing eyewear as directed. NOTE: Long-term exposure to UV radiation is one of the risk factors associated with cataracts. Exposure is based on a number of factors such as environmental conditions (altitude, geography, cloud cover) and personal factors (extent and nature of outdoor activities). UV-blocking contact lenses help provide protection against harmful UV radiation. However, clinical studies have not been done to demonstrate that wearing UV-blocking contact lenses reduces the risk of developing cataracts or other eye disorders.
Yes. INFUSE® One-Day lenses are designed with all-day comfort in mind, and ProBalance Technology® maintains moisture throughout the day. However, extended screen time can increase natural eye dryness, so remember to blink regularly and take screen breaks. Your eye doctor can advise if these lenses are right for your specific lifestyle.
Yes. Daily disposable contacts like INFUSE® One-Day are ideal for active lifestyles—you don't have to worry about losing a monthly lens during a game or workout. Plus, ProBalance Technology® helps maintain moisture and comfort even during activity. Just remember to remove them before swimming, as with all contact lenses.
Before using any prescription eye drops with INFUSE® One-Day contacts, consult your eye doctor. Some prescription drops may interact with the lens material or ProBalance Technology® moisture blend or may not be safe for lens wearers. Your eye doctor can recommend drops that are compatible with your lenses.
Yes, rewetting and lubricating drops can be used with INFUSE® One-Day contacts. Bausch + Lomb has drops designed to rehydrate the lens during wear. In fact, many wearers—especially those with dry eye sensitivity—use rewetting drops throughout the day for extra comfort. However, INFUSE® One-Day is designed with next-generation material and ProBalance Technology® to help minimize contact lens dryness. Consider Bausch + Lomb dry eye symptom relief products or ask your eye doctor for specific recommendations.
INFUSE® One-Day contacts come in a box of 90 lenses. Each lens is individually sealed in a solution of electrolytes and moisturizers for freshness and convenience. Just open a new lens each morning and discard at the end of the day.
You can purchase INFUSE® One-Day contacts through your eye doctor or Opal™ . You'll need a valid, current prescription from your eye doctor to buy all contact lenses, including INFUSE® One-Day. If you're new to contacts, schedule an eye exam and fitting with your doctor to get started.
